This splendid path offers unique panoramas at any time of year, reaching their maximum beauty in late spring / early summer when the most famous natural spectacle in the Sibillini Mountains National Park comes to life: the blossoming of Piani di Castelluccio.
The described itinerary progresses along the ridge that runs alongside the Pian Grande to the west, so that you can enjoy this multi-coloured spectacle from above: a spontaneous blossoming of cultivated fields at Piani di Castelluccio, which at the beginning of summer are coated yellow (wild mustard), red (poppy) and blue (cornflower).
The excursion starts from the Monte Cappelletta pass at 1520m asl, following the Grande Anello dei Sibillini and crossing wide pastures with splendid views of Norcia, Pian Grande and the Sibillini range, to conclude in the small village of Castelluccio.
