The most beautiful hikes in Le Marche

This is the classic Conero Natural Park excursion, the most important protected natural coastal area in ​​the Marche. Starting from Poggio di Ancona and arriving in Sirolo, during the walk we admire wonderful views towards the sea and the Marche hinterland, such as the Bay of Portonovo from Pian Grande and from northern Belvedere, or the Due Sorelle (Two Sisters) beaches from the southern Belvedere and from Passo del Lupo, or once again the hills and the Apennines from Pian di Raggetti.

The vegetation changes between the north side and the upside of Monte Conero: from plants typical of cool environments such as maples, hornbeams and ash trees, passing to the typical Mediterranean scrub with an abundance of strawberry trees (Corbezzolo), which give their name to the Conero!

There are many stops on the way to discover places steeped in history, stories and legends, such as the Roman Caves, the Rock Engravings, the KT level and the Mortarolo Cave. At the end of the excursion there is also the possibility of tasting Rosso Conero, a typical wine from the hills around the Monte, or going down to one of the beaches for a swim in the crystal clear waters of Portonovo, Mezzavalle or San Michele.
